TAV Airports announces changes in top management
Effective as of May 1st, Serkan Kaptan is appointed as the CEO of TAV Airports. Sani Şener will be continuing his role as the Deputy Chairman of the Board. Franck Mereyde is appointed as Chairman of ComEx and Executive Board Member, and Burcu Geriş will be Deputy CEO.
A member of Groupe ADP, TAV Airports announced the changes in its leadership team today. One of the founding partners and the CEO of the company since its foundation back in 1997, Sani Sener will be retiring from his position to take over the role of Deputy Chairman of the Board. Deputy CEO since 2016, Serkan Kaptan, who has been managing the business development, strategy and marketing activities of the company since its foundation, will be appointed as CEO. Deputy CEO Franck Mereyde is appointed as Chairman of ComEx and Executive Board Member. Burcu Geriş will retain her responsibilities as CFO and will be appointed as Deputy CEO.

Our Deputy CEO since 2016, Serkan Kaptan, who took over important responsibilities at the company since the beginning, will be appointed as CEO. I’ll continue supporting the strategic orientation of the company in my capacity as the Deputy Chairman of the Board”.
About Serkan Kaptan
Born on December 1, 1971, Serkan Kaptan received his BA degree from Istanbul University, Department of Business Administration and his MBA from Marmara University in 2002. He joined TAV Airports Holding in 1998 with the build-operate-transfer project of the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Until 2001, he served as airport operations consultant at Airport Consulting Vienna, a company owned by VIE, which was a partner of TAV Airports Holding. From 2002 on, he was responsible for business development, airline marketing, R&D and investments. Having 25 years of experience in airport and airline operations and public-private partnership infrastructure projects, Kaptan was appointed as Deputy CEO of TAV Airports in 2016 and served as a Board Member for all TAV Airports’ subsidiaries. Kaptan is also a Member of ADP Executive Board in charge of Central Asia, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and CIS. Serkan Kaptan, after serving as a Board Member of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) and the Chairman of DEIK Türkiye-Latvia Business Council. In 2021, Kaptan was elected to the Board of Directors of the European Region of the Airports Council International (ACI Europe). Kaptan is married with two daughters.
About Franck Mereyde
Franck Mereyde was born on April 6, 1972 in Paris. He studied Civil Engineering and the holds a postgraduate degree in Geophysics, Space Techniques and data analytics. Franck Mereyde commenced his professional career with Environment Canada and then Météo France, later joining the Office of the Minister of Infrastructure in 2002 as Technical Advisor in the Research and Intermodal Transportation Department, then as Advisor for the Budget, Financial Affairs and Civil Aviation departments. Franck Mereyde joined Groupe ADP in 2005 as Director of Operations at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. At the same time, he also served as the Head of ADP’s Cargo Division. In 2007, Mr. Mereyde was appointed as the Director of Terminals 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and, in January 2010, Director of Terminals 2E, 2F and 2G. On March 1, 2011, he was appointed as the Director of Paris-Orly Airport. Franck Mereyde also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Aéroports de Paris Management and at Hub Safe. He is a Member of the Board and the Deputy CEO at TAV Airports, since September 2017. He serves on the Executive Board of DEIK Türkiye-France Business Council and Institut du Bosphore. In March 2022, Franck Mereyde was elected the President of The Türkiye-France Chamber of Commerce (CCI France Turquie). He is married with three children.
About Burcu Geriş
Burcu Geris graduated from Bogazici University, Department of Business Administration in 1999 and subsequently received her MBA degree from London Business School and Columbia Business School. She began her professional career at Garanti Bank where she worked in Treasury and Project Finance departments from 1999 until 2005. Joining TAV Airports in 2005, Geris led the Project & Structured Finance Department of the Company. Burcu Geris was appointed CFO in 2012 and Vice President in 2014. She was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2015 as well as a “Rising Talent” by the Women’s Forum in 2013. She was named one of Türkiye’s 50 Most Influential CFOs between 2016 and 2022. In addition to serving as a Member of the Boards of Directors of TAV Group companies, Geris is also a Member of Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Professional Women’s Network (PWN), Global Board Ready Women (GBRW), Global Relations Forum Young Professionals Program, and BUMED, CBS and LBS Alumni Associations. She is married with two children.
