2022

  • Operated by TAV Airports, Ankara Esenboga Airport ranks among the “Best Employers in Anatolia”, as announced by the Great Place to Work (GPTW). A total of 13 companies made it to the list, according to employee evaluations of 60 items under five different categories.
  • TAV Airports is named in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index, selected among companies with a high sustainability rating.
  • TAV Airports received a total of five awards at this year’s Bonds&Loans Awards for Almaty International Airport, Madinah and Fraport TAV Antalya Airport project. TAV finance team received the Project Sponsor of the Year award and won the runner up trophy in the Corporate Funding Team of the Year category.
  • TAV Airports subsidiaries BTA, TAV Operation Services and TAV Air were ranked among the top 27 companies in Turkey in terms of the happiness of women employees  as a result of the evaluations made by the Great Place To Work Institute, the leading research institution in the industry that conducts studies on corporate culture and employee experience.
  • Operated by TAV, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Ankara Esenboğa, Madinah, Tbilisi, Zagreb, and Skopje airports received the best airport awards in their categories at the ACI Customer Experience Global in Krakow, Poland this year.
  • Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport has received the ACI Europe’s Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 1 certificate. All airports in Turkey operated by TAV participated in the programme.
  • Operated by TAV Airports, Almaty, Batumi, Madinah, Tbilisi, and Zagreb airports were among the best in their regions in the World Airport Awards 2022, organized by Skytrax and determined by passenger choices.
  • Almaty Airport is selected as the “DFI Deal of Year” in the Asia-Pacific region by the prestigious project finance and infrastructure journal IJGlobal. 
  • TAV Airports has earned  the "Great Place To Work" certification as result of of assessments by Great Place To Work Turkey, the industry's leading research institute that conducts studies on corporate culture and employee experience.
  • TAV Airports was among the top 50 brands in the 2022 'TURKEY 100 - Turkey's Most Valuable Brands' report of London-based international brand valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance.
  • TAV Airports have signed the Toulouse Declaration, a commitment to support aviation's goal to reach Net Zero CO2 emissions by 2050. A total of nine airports operated by TAV in Turkey, Macedonia, Georgia and Kazakhstan participated in the declaration, which was opened for signature by member countries of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and private sector organizations. In addition to European Union member states, sectoral organizations including the Airports Council of Europe (ACI Europe) and nearly 80 airport operators from 34 countries signed the declaration. Only TAV from Turkey was among the signatories


2021

  • The debt restructuring of TAV Airports in Tunisia was selected as “The Infrastructure Finance Deal of the Year” by Bonds & Loans Turkey in November 2021.
  • In the ninth women-friendly companies survey conducted by Capital magazine, TAV Airports ranked among the top 15 companies that had the highest female employment rate in Turkey. TAV Airports and its subsidiaries ATU Duty-Free, BTA, Havas, and TAV Security are included in the list of “100 Women Friendly Companies”.
  • TAV Airports Deputy CEO Serkan Kaptan was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the International Airports Council (ACI Europe), the umbrella organization of airport operators in Europe. ACI Europe represents more than 500 airports serving 2.3 billion passengers annually in 55 countries.
  • Saudi Arabia’s Madinah Airport, operated by TAV Airports, was selected as the best airport in the region in the Skytrax awards based on passenger evaluations in August 2021. Riga, Zagreb, and Tbilisi Airports operated by TAV were also among the top 10 airports in Eastern Europe.
  • Milas-Bodrum Airport received Airport Carbon Accreditation in May 2021. Milas-Bodrum Airport participated in the program created by ACI Europe, aiming to contribute to the fight against climate change by eliminating carbon emissions. İzmir, Ankara and Antalya airports operated by TAV have Level 3+ carbon-neutral status in the program. Enfidha and Zagreb airports also have Level 3 optimization status.
  • All airports operated by TAV Airports have the ACI Airport Health Accreditation certification, which monitors the measures taken against the pandemic.
  • Izmir Adnan Menderes, Ankara Esenboga, Madinah and Tbilisi airports received four stars in the Skytrax assessment and ranked among the world’s top 100 airports. Tbilisi Airport was awarded 5 stars, the highest level in the Skytrax Covid-19 assessment.
  • TAV Technologies won two awards at the CIO Summit held in April 2021 for its Passenger Flow Management Platform, which enables to take measures by predicting passenger queues at the airport. The system analyzes waiting times and density in real time using camera data and give early warning before queuing.
  • TAV’s two airports are the best in Europe in terms of service quality. Zagreb and Skopje airports, operated by TAV Airports, were selected as the best airports in Europe in their categories based on passenger evaluations by ACI World in March 2021. Skopje Airport was also awarded in the field of best hygiene practices.
  • Almaty Airport received the “Infrastructure Development Award” at the fourth Kazakhstan Global Investments Meeting on December 7, for its contributions to the country’s development.

 

2020

  • TAV Technologies, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, was recognized at the IDC CIO Summit 2020 organized by the Turkey office for the 11th time. TAV Technologies’ Digital Airport Platform (DAP) project, developed solely with internal resources, received the “IT Solution Delivering the Best Customer Experience” award.
  • TAV and nine airports in its portfolio have signed the charter of EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to implement, monitor and share precautionary measures to halt the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Izmir Adnan Menderes, Ankara Esenboga, Zagreb and Skopje airports operated by TAV Airports were named the “Best Airports of Europe” in their respective categories at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards organized by ACI World.
  • TAV Airports ranked among the social media’s best in the “Airports” category at Social Media Awards Turkey 2020, the country’s biggest social media awards competition.
  • A total of 11 airports operated by TAV in six countries joined ACI World’s Airport Health Accreditation program, which sets out antipandemic measures.
  • TAV Airports, Turkey’s global brand in airport operations, ranked third among companies with the highest corporate governance rating in Turkey. Organized by the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD) every year since in 2010, TAV has consistently ranked among the top three companies in the annual competition.
  • Burcu Geris was named the Third Best CFO in the transportation industry/EMEA region in a survey conducted by Institutional Investor among finance market participants by analysts (sell-side). TAV was selected as the Third Best Company that runs Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) program in the transportation industry/ EMEA region with the total votes of analysts (sell-side) and fund managers (buy-side).
  • Enfidha Airport reached Level 3 Optimization in the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program. Izmir, Ankara and Antalya Airports remained at Level 3+ carbon-neutral level while Zagreb Airport entered the program at Level 2 Reduction level.

 

2019

  • Tbilisi Airport has been included among the top 10 airports in Eastern Europe at Skytrax Awards for six consecutive years.
  • Skytrax has crowned Frankfurt “primeclass” Lounge as the seventh best lounge in the world.
  • In March 2019, Riga Business Lounge has been selected “The Best European Lounge of 2018” by Priority Pass.
  • BTA, ATU and TAV Operation Services have been awarded by the country’s civil aviation authority in the award ceremony of “Oman Airports Awards.”
  • TAV Technologies has been awarded for RMS, its resources management system applied in TGS, in the category of “IT Cost Efficiency” in the summit organized by International Data Corporation (IDC).
  • Skopje Airport has been awarded in the category of airports hosting up to two million passengers per year in scope of ASQ (Airport Service Quality) program.
  • Ankara Esenboga and Izmir Adnan Menderes Airports, operated by TAV Airports, fulfilled the requirements of Level 3+ certification as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program and ranked among the world’s most environmentally friendly airports.
  • Four TAV Airports companies were listed on the Fortune 500 Turkey ranking of the largest enterprises in Turkey. ATU ranked 71st on the list while TAV Istanbul, BTA, and HAVAS came in at 101st, 298th, and 343rd place, respectively.
  • TAV Airports has been awarded as one of the “Problem Solving Brands of the Year” at International Ankara Brand Meetup, organized for the fourth time this year by Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO).
  • Ranking in the top three for the last nine years at the awards ceremony held by Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), TAV Airports boasted the third highest corporate governance rating score among companies in Turkey in 2019.
  • TAV Technologies awarded at CIO Awards for Total Airport Management Suite (TAMS) project completely developed by Turkish software developers and engineers.


2018

  • According to the results of the survey conducted by Extel Surveys among 18 thousand investment professionals across the world, TAV Airports Holding CEO Sani Sener was voted the third best CEO in Turkey and sixth best CEO in the European Transportation Industry; TAV Airports Vice President and CFO Burcu Geris was named the best CFO in Turkey and the sixth best CFO in the European Transportation Industry. Investor Relations Director Nursel Ilgen was named the third and fifth best Investor Relations Professional in Turkey and in the European Transportation Industry, respectively; Investor Relations Coordinator Besim Meric was voted the sixth best Investor Relations Professional in Turkey while Investor Relations Coordinator Ali Ozgu Caneri was voted the seventh best Investor Relations Professional in Turkey.
  • TAV Airports’ commitment to having at least 25% women members on its Board of Directors was recognized with Sabanci University Corporate Governance Forum’s “Board of Directors Diversity Policy Transparency Special Award.”
  • In an effort to encourage participation of women in the workforce and prevent discrimination against women, TAV Airports Holding satisfied the criteria laid out in the program developed by the Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER) with the support of the World Bank and received a certificate.
  • Istanbul Ataturk Airport, operated by TAV Airports, ranked third in the list of the world’s best airports announced by the travel website eDreams.
  • TAV Airports’ initiatives at Istanbul Ataturk Airport were recognized with an award as part of the “International Occupational Safety Awards” organized by the British Safety Council.
  • Constructed and operated by TAV, Izmir Adnan Menderes Domestic Terminal was cited as an exemplary project in a report issued by the US Green Buildings Council (USGBC). Adnan Menderes Airport Domestic Terminal holds the distinction of being the first terminal in Turkey to be issued Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the USGBC.
  • Ankara Esenboga and Izmir Adnan Menderes Airports, operated by TAV Airports, completed the requirements of Level 3+ certification as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program and ranked among the world’s most environment friendly airports.
  • TAV Airports will continue to be included in the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index in the 2018-2019 period as a result of independent rating agency assessments.
  • Four TAV Airports companies were listed on the Fortune 500 Turkey ranking of the largest enterprises in Turkey. ATU ranked 79th on the list while TAV Istanbul, BTA, and HAVAS came in at 114th, 342nd, and 385th place, respectively.
  • Enfidha Airport became the first airport operation in Tunisia to obtain the ISO 10002-2018 and ISO 9001-2015 certifications.
  • TAV Georgia was named the country’s most valuable brand in the “Transportation” category and was awarded with the “Golden Brand” prize.
  • Ranking in the top three for the last eight years in the awards organized by the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), TAV Airports boasts the third highest corporate governance rating score in Turkey in 2018.
